Folks will often ask:
"John there are pallet yards in my area, does that makes it hard to work this model?"
Wrong / Nope / Incorrect...
Let's dive deep into the answer why it's not the case... .
1. A pallet yards main focus is the 48x40 standard pallet and it's the same everywhere. This 48x40 pallet size will be a small portion of your sales using The Simplest Biz model. You will be taught a complete variety of options outside of the 48x40 game. Which leads to greater profits and less headaches. After 20 years of doing this I know the solutions and you will too.
2. Pallet yards have a lot of overhead that require them to charge a premium price to cover their overhead cost. Property / trucks / buildings / forklifts / employees / sales people / pallet build equipment / nail guns and all other expenditures that go along with a physical location. The Simplest Biz model does not have those expenditures thus we can save these businesses the money. And again remember the pallet yards are mostly dealing with 48x40 standard. With The Simplest Biz - No yard / no employees / no equipment / no warehouse / no lease etc.
3. The Pallet yards in most cases have minimum orders - combined with a higher price, putting the midsized and regional businesses we deal with in a cash crunch. Most pallet yards require 400 to 600 pallet order, when the company requesting pallets only might need 150. You can serve them better in this regard. At minimum the pallet yards will tack on a delivery charge in addition to the what they charge for the pallets. Again you can win in this situation.
4. Concerning the reclamation service provided by the pallet yards. If the pallet yard has left a trailer to be filled with pallets on a suppliers property, there is usually a charge for this service. In addition it is a box truck which will require the business to load them - The box truck is usually on the property and not situated at a dock (the business can't have a dock unavailable with the pallet businesses trailer blocking it) If the trailer is on the property - the business has to physically load them on the box truck then physically move the pallets to the back portion of the box truck. Which is a major hassle for these businesses and requires their employees to be doing work which is not considered a money making activity for the business. In addition the pallet yard picks up the trailer with no warning and usually half full - not a good solutions for the business. I will teach you a much better solution for the business concerning this process.
5. The Simplest Biz training will teach you better solutions for these businesses - the vast majority of businesses pallet situation is inefficient, unsafe and in a lot of cases impractical. You will be provided with a rolodex of solutions to educate them and also save them money - while simultaneously increasing your profit margin. That might seem counterintuitive - but you will see exactly why it is the case in the training.
6. I have around 10 pallet yards in my area - when it comes down to it, they are not my competition. They are normally dealing with companies that require 750 to 1000 pallets a week. We do not want to be in that situation unless we are brokering (more on that later). Otherwise we would need a pallet yard ourselves to make that model work. There are thousands of businesses to deal with that do not need that many pallets plus we can add corrugated boxes / dunnage / 55 gallon drums etc. on a weekly basis to the mix and expand our revenue streams.
7. If you choose you could put together a website just like the one above with a few tweaks. Just like my other students have done. Here is an example - https://www.thepalletguys.com/
Lastly, just like any business - relationships with your customers are important - keeping this model simple allows us the time to develop those relationships without sacrificing profits. Our competition as you've probably seen does not concentrate on this part of the business. There is very little professionalism in this niche. We are here to change that.
The business you are working with will not be a number like they are with the pallet yards. You are taught to dig deep into their business and provide them with long lasting solutions for this crucial part of their operation.
Looking forward to guiding you step by step through The Simplest Biz process ... I'm serious about my students success - and that certainly includes you.
